Badrinath is one of the holiest towns in India, in terms of Hindu religious sentiments, since it is one of the four pilgrimage spots that make up the Chardham. The town is perched on the banks of the Alaknanda River, and is located 9 kms from the Nilkantha peak. It is home to the Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Also referred to as Bhubaikunth and Tapobhumi, the temple is said to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya. The town of Badrinath is also the gateway for several treks and mountaineering expeditions, including the one to Nilkantha and another to the Nanda Devi peak, which takes more than a week to complete. Although during the year 1914, the population of Badrinath town was a mere 20-30 families, it has currently risen to more than 4,000 in its nearby areas.

Day 02:- Pipalkoti to Badrinath

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. It is advisable to first Take a bath at Taptakund which is a hot spring in Badrinath and a Few meters from Badrinath temple then go for Badrinath temple darshan. There is another interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Check In hotel overnight stay at Badrinath.

Day 03:- Badrinath to Haridwar
